I. Loved. This.
So well done, and believable, in almost every particular, and I adore how very sensible (duh, Vulcan) Spock was about it, and yet there's that OW! underneath it all. WOW. Seriously, just WOW.

One of the reasons this took so long to come out was because I needed forever to work out the logistics of how this situation would even happen, so it's great to know that it came across as believable. And ugh, Spock. He was the other difficult part of writing this, mostly for needing to figure out what his logic would be for not outright telling Jim who he was. A bit ironic that the character who lost everything we knew about him was the easiest one for me to work with. I'm still puzzled over it, that's for sure.
