Notes: the basic storyline runs something along the lines of "if Kise hadn't picked up that basketball and if he and Aomine got together before Kise joined the basketball club".
I had high hopes for this one. I think I picked it up in K-Books while I was in Tokyo or something. It looked long. The art and coloring seemed fine.
The art is alright...not the worst I've seen. There's one particularly memorable picture of Kise without a nose (I never really understood that...at least give him the hint of a pointy nose...). Most of the time Aomine's expressions are kind of blocked and static for some reason. Kise, well...Kise's always been more emotional so I don't have any complaints there.
The story is kind of...teenager-y but well they *are* teenagers, after all. They have their share of misunderstandings and stuff but I still think that it seems too...perfect how they came together. But WELL it's fandom = suspended reality. I won't quibble about that. The story itself though, instead of it being...I DUNNO. It just kind of felt forced.
All in all, if I could give it a rating I would rate it 'meh', but for AoKise fans it still might be worth a try...
