Since that Simplicity suit is on my to-sew list for 2009, would it help if we had a sew-along? Starting with a muslin - or as we'd usually call it a pattern - made up in patterning fabric to tweak for fit?
Ms K's first rule of modern sewing: it won't fit you straight out of the packet. I learnt (learned?) this the hard way :(

I don't know why paper patterns make me boggle. I mean, they're not really any different that my period patterns that I've made. I think I just have some psychological barrier. Or my brain just has fibrofog.
