I ran out of wash coins, so I could only do one load of laundry this morning. Since they recently switched the coins so that dryer coins are different from washer coins, I find myself always having enough dryer coins, but always running out of washing coins. The PhD student came over today to look at what I've done and to help clarify some sections that didn't quite make sense before. I worked for at least 8 hours today and I'm so over it. I took on the job of correcting a German PhD student's dissertation that she wrote auf Englisch. It's 220 pages long and I've been wrestling with this M* F* for 3 weeks. On most of the longer distance train trips I've taken, the police enter the train at some point and walk down the aisles. The past two times I've been sitting in the same train car as people who appear to come from the Middle East, and the police have both times stopped and asked them (and only them) for their IDs. Just sitting here watching MTV in Germany. Sometimes the programs are dubbed and sometimes they just have subtitles. This particular program has subtitles and they just announced someone on the show from Marietta, GA...where I'm from. Blue Skies and Sunny today! Making it through the 2 month study abroad hump/slump isn't helped when you study in a region where the sun rarely shines and the sky is almost never blue.
