God hates the devil

Last night I was struggling with the devil again. Just couldn't shake it. At some point it got really perverse and then I suddenly felt like a rush and heard a strong voice say "I hate you satan, and I want you to know that!". And I felt something like a dark shadow in me get afraid and leave. That felt so refreshing ( Read more... )

when I think about the devil and the powers of darkness I remember these verses in Colossians chapter 2 "having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it [the cross]." Colossians 2:14,15. The devil and the powers of darkness where defeated at the Cross-we have been set free from the kingdom of darkness "He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins." Col. 1:13,14. We are no longer slaves but sons of God under the rule of the King of Glory Jesus Christ-the Lord protects us-governs us-and His desire is that we see Him in His beauty and glory in heaven-we are the apple of His eye-nothing can touch us without His sovereign permission-peace Jonny

What I take from your words is that I don't have to worry about my sins when the devil comes - the law with the punishments and terrors has been taken out of the way. God will always love me instead and give me peace.

In another attack recently that was really bad I prayed to God and told him how much I loathed the devil and I heard a voice that was in deep joy that said, "Delicious, just delicious!", as if God delighted in seeing me fight effectively.

Sometimes I am unhappy and scared about God allowing the devil to torment me, but at other times I feel a little proud of the toughness I and God found in me to stand through these things. If you don't freak out and do something foolish these experiences can be valuable.
