When she was a little girl and the top of her head was already level with the top of her mother's shoulders, she would twist the ring she wore on her left hand and she would pretend invisible animals would walk along with them on their route to school. Different use of prompt. Nicely written. True for most of us as we get older. I myself could see mysself being a hermit at times.

I love my alone time....and quality time with others. What's fallen away is the just being with people to be with people. That, somehow, has become tiresome.
