it's more of the ridiculousness in age between the two sets of great grandparents and grandparents, which ends in the large, but not unheard of 11 year difference between my parents; but that doesn't flow well in a livejournal entry!
anyway though, my mom's biological father was born in 1933, and his father was born in 1910. my dad was born in 1948, his father was born in 1888, and HIS father was born in 1862
