Congratulations on your win! Are the gym leaders really not so difficult to defeat in battle?

Thank you. I will admit that I did quite a bit of training beforehand, but I still expected a challenge with only one Pokemon in my party.

You must've trained quite hard, then. I've heard of other trainers having trouble even with more than one pokemon.

[He brightens] What's your name?

Ha ha ha. Yes, I suppose the rumours just made me overly cautious.

[ a genial smile. ] Luke Triton. And yourself?

Oh... [MILDLY DISAPPOINT GOD SHE'S SO FAR BEHIND UGH] Congratulations, Luke-san. I'm happy for you.

[A small smile and she nods, content that she did the Good Deed of the Day. But his next words catches her interested and the smile fades into a serious face]

An imposter of Layton-san?

Thank you, Chrome. Have you taken the gym challenge yet?

[ he ponders this, falling silent for a moment. ]

Possibly, possibly not. As I haven't yet met with him in person, I can't tell if he's the Layton from my present... or perhaps just another imposter.

I haven't. I don't think I'm strong enough yet. [She blushes lightly, a little embarrassed to admit it.]

...A future Layton? It sounds interesting, at least. Layton-san's very nice.

Luckily, it's possible to get stronger.

I agree. The professor is one of the kindest gentlemen I have ever met-- not to mention a wonderful teacher. It would be a shame if someone was impersonating him. Still...

[A professor? ...Ah, he remembers a professor.]

I know a guy who calls himself a professor. [Anymore information will come at a price, though.]

Is that so? That man wouldn't happened to be called Professor Hershel Layton, would he?

[Doesn't sound like this guy will offer a reward or anything. Oh well.] ...Maybe, maybe not. What's it to you?

[ sorry, luke's more of a "mindfuck you until you give him what he wants" kinda guy ]

Recently, another man has come forth also claiming to be the good professor. Two of the same person... surely you must be interested in such a strange phenomenon.

I believe I've spoken to this man, but I've not actually met him. [Pause.] I hadn't heard of the phenomenom of future selves until now. I imagine it must be a strange sensation.

Ah, and congratulations on your win.

I admit that it's been a quandary that I've had to get used to.

[ soft smile. ] ... Thank you.

There is another Professor?

[voice] antiscience November 18 2010, 04:23:27 UTC
Apparently so. A man on the network recently came forth claiming to also be Professor Layton. Of course, time discrepancies of this sort aren't unheard of-- but one should always remain cautious.

Do you have any reasons to suspect him?

Unfortunately, where I come from, the professor has had many impostors. I'm afraid I've grown accustomed to doubting the word of persons who claim to be him.
