He was confused and such, of course, but given that he still had his ring and his clothes were neatly folded next to him (that was weird) he got his bearings rapidly. [To add to the people walking by without saying anything, Fenimore crosses the square wearing a shawl much like Shirley's over a blue and white dress, as well as the standard hat, gloves, scarf, etc. expected of the time of year. Despite all that she is already wearing, she is on her way to the clothes shop to see if any more of her clothing has arrived.

She's feeling somewhat uncomfortable and that feeling increases just a touch when she notices him. It's not particularly strong and the increase is pretty small now that she knows that none of the people here are involved in the kidnapping, but she is usually a bit on guard when she's wandering around Orerines. She's also been feeling rather down lately, but she's not currently thinking about the things that are making her feel that way. Poke me if you need more (or less) detail on that.

...tl;dr, she's not going to stop to address him, but she's glancing at him occasionally as she passes.]

[Awesome--- anyway, Atsuki seeing this girl feels a strong Shinen of anxiety. It's hard to pin on a moving target though. He waits for her to stop moving for a moment there and the activates Σ]

[The erasing, searching, and imprinting process takes all of ten seconds to perform. I would write out exactly what he reads but I still haven't memorized the Lux-Pain color code just yet so I wouldn't trust myself to pull it off faithfully. Fenimore might feel some of her anxiety about Atsuki getting if not broken, distracted as a result of this reading]

[Her Shinen are varied - one of them is remarkably strong and linked to an old memory, perhaps a cultural belief. This belief is causing her to be uneasy around me.

"Orerines..." that word is stained with a strong sense of fear as well as a little anger, hatred, and sorrow. The memories of this girl must be stained with images of the actions of "Orerines..."

She's not human, despite what she looks like.

And the other Shinen speaks of another, different, sorrow. Something has been eating at her mind recently. She is looking for clothing... perhaps she too is a recent arrival.

And once he finishes his inner monologue-]

[He's going to take advantage of his use of Σ distracting her mind from her normal prejudices to speak up-] Good morning.

...that was cool.

[...huh. She's caught a little off-guard when his comment comes, what with her train of thought getting broken and her anxiety disappearing for now. She blinks at him for a moment, but it can't be that bad--he seems to be an okay sort.] --Good morning.

[And he even stands from his bench to address her more proper like. A light little nod-thing, and then a disarming... smile-smirk thing. I don't imagine they canonically look like rape faces, really. His face might have a cool expression but his eyes should be striking. Like they see right through you, but somehow that is comforting idk it's canon]

I'm a "new feather," could you help me find something?

[Those eyes are certainly not something she's ever seen before, so it's keeping her a little off-balance. But rather than making her more guarded, it's more that she's subconsciously letting down some barriers that she normally would keep up around an unknown Orerines from the combined anxiety-break, comforting eyes however that works, and disarming manner.] A n--oh, right. ...Well, I can try.

When I arrived my clothes were folded next to me, but I think I'll need a warmer jacket than this.

[A beat, and then-] Do you know where I might find one?

[xelhes]

...I should think you do. I'm surprised you're okay outside for long in that.

There's a place to get clothes over there. [She points at the clothing store.] I was just on my way there, myself.

[antisilent]

[Ah, but which clothing store? All Passions or the generic one which really should be just called the bazaar or generic item shop because according to the map there is no clothing store. Dun dun dun.

...Being lame aside, Atsuki takes this moment to stand and smile-smirk-rapeface a bit there-] Mind if I tag along then? [A beat and-] My name's Atuski Saijo, by the way.

[...Sigh, I need to pay more attention. I had thought Shiki had taken over both, but I guess I was getting mixed up with the smithy/weapon shop merge. Building C on the map says clothes store, which is the one I had in mind. Basically, the bazaar, because Fen-Fen hasn't read much of the guide still and only knows about the one where people pick up their own clothes. Thanks for clarifying.

He's already standing, but that's just a little detail. ...Well, she can't think of a reason why not, so:] Okay. My name is Fenimore.

[I need to not be pretentious when I'm making errors in terms of thread history particularly in a short one. That and shipping things prematurely. But either way with that, lead on, Feni] That's a nice name.

[xelhes]

[Pfft, I didn't think it sounded pretentious. Though if you're referring to what it sounds like you're referring, I agree with the "prematurely" modifier.] ...Thanks. Uh, the store's this way. [She starts towards the bazaar wherever that is on the map I don't even know anymore.]

[I did...! OH IS THAT SO BUT YOU CAN'T READ MINDS YOU BUUUUM] Alright.
