I feel I should take this opportunity to update, but I'm feeling just boring enough to not know what to write about. I could write about this clinical, but it's, well, boring. Tony pointed out recently that I don't come home every day overflowing with excitement for what I've done during the day, and I also noticed that I don't feel that same ( Read more... )

If you ever want a super-awesome pelvic floor PT contact in Chicago, let me know. I think you'd have a lot in common with Gayle at the Athletico in Bucktown or any of her other local counterparts :-)

the longer I'm in this field, the more I'm learning that Chicago is like the PT center of the country. All the best people are there or spent time there, and the Rehab Institute of Chicago is like the place to work. I think Chicago's PT standards are extremely high in general. You picked the right city to have hip issues in :)

These posts always make me feel equal parts proud of you, impressed with your progress, and like a slacker. My big accomplishment yesterday was throwing away the expired/gross food in the kitchen and reorganizing the cabinets with plastic bins. You're working and learning and choosing a direction for your career... it's very exciting.

Oh yeah, and building a person!

Thanks! But don't discount yourself -- you put in your time already, and you're already reaping the rewards. I still have 5 years to go to get to that point... there are also plenty of days where I feel like a slacker :)
