Optimus Prime could kick Sue's arse, no problem.

Someone once said the reason there are so many princesses in fanfiction is because all little girls want to be princesses. Call me weird, but when I was a little girl I wanted to be an Autobot. Optimus Prime kicked ARSE.

Story or Series Title: The Lost Princess

Why mutter about cheating dragons? silvormoon January 29 2004, 08:05:23 UTC
...when you should be muttering about annoying Sues?

"...It worked a little too well. Instead of just the same bruise he gave me, he’s feeling every bruise, every kick, every hurt he has ever inflicted on me all at once.”

Anybody ever read Squire by Tamora Pierce? I don't know why I'm suddenly thinking of that scene where Vinson leaves the Chamber of the Ordeal...

As she stalked toward her room, she felt Sora’s beautiful cerulean eyes look quizzically at her.

Beautiful cerulean eyes are always a bad sign. They're even worse when they're being described as such from the perspective of a character who doesn't like her.

Suddenly, she saw a blob of wax on the wall across Chihiro.

The wall is across Chihiro? What, did she throw such a tantrum that it fell on her?

As for the formatting... well, everyone knows you should leave at least five inches of white space between every line of your story. Gives readers more time to absorb the subtle nuances.

*raises hand* me too, yes! I think she uses almost that exact same phrasing, as well...(I'm a bit sensitive about copying off of T.Pierce, due to a rather nasty confrontation with a plagiarizer a few years ago -_-)
Well...at least the grammer isn't too bad.
...yep, 'bout the only plus I can find here.

AHAHA. I never wanted to be a princess either. I wanted to be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Turtle power.

And "sora" just means sky, so she could have either ripped it off or just thinks she's being cutesy. Why do they do that? Just pick a Japanese word that has something to do with their super past and think it's cool? WHY, GOD, WHY.

You wanted to be a Ninja Turtle too? Whee! I'm not alone!
Princess, though...I always wanted to be the evil witch, like the one in Disney's Sleeping Beauty.
Evil Witch Ninja Turtle?

It could happen. (Raphael dated a fucking kitsune in the dumb Archie comics for Christ's sake. Is nothing sacred?)

But hey. Akabane! Go you. :D

I give the third vote for wanting to be a Ninja Turtle when I was a little girl. XD

Note to all Sues: Haku. Does. Not. Love you. Chihiro and Haku are the OTP. You do NOT break them up. You just... don't.

*hits Sue* That's for having my favorite name.
*hits author* That's for having a variation of my OWN name.
*hits Sue again* That's for the rest of your existence.

I don't know how someone could conceivably break up Chihiro and Haku, considering they're practically the single best representation of OTP. They're like that couple at school that answers to a communal name.

Which I adore. XD

Well.... I agree that Sues are annoying, always falling in love with Haku and he with them, but...
Do Chihiro and Haku have to be the OTP (I freakin' HATE that term) in SA? I mean, yeah, it would be plausible if Chihiro were, say, sexually mature, but she's not. She's ten. Which would make Haku, if he were in a sexual relationship with her (I'm assuming that's what you mean by "pairing"), a pedophile. Which I seriously doubt he is...
Even if you consider the fact that he looks fifteen, or try to play the case that he's a river god and doesn't understand our social taboos, or even that they really are in a hormonal kind of love, she's freaking ten and his member would not fit inside of her without causing a great deal of pain and damage, probably causing her inner tissue to scar and making her unable to bear children.
I'm sorry, but I just don't see that happening.
.....
That's my rant.

....*is shunned*

No, I agree with you in that I definitely don't see anything sexual happening between those two, ever -- for those reasons and more. But people don't always have to have sexual relations in order to love each other, and I think Chihiro and Haku do love each other as more than friends. That's just the way I saw it, though... it never explicitly states or shows that they're "in love." It just depends on how you interpret it.

Also, Haku is probably technically thousands of years old and doesn't age the same way as humans do, so I don't think pedophilia is an issue there. And to me he looks about the same age as Chihiro, or maybe just a year or two older.

I still can't imagine them being "in love". Maybe as brother and sister?

According to the translated version of the "Spirited Away" film comic put out by Viz:

"Haku: A twelve year old boy. He helps Chihiro when she wanders into the Abura-ya bathhouse."

"Chihiro: An average ten year old girl."

"She remembered how, only moments ago, how she had fingered the little sparrow."

Um... maybe I'm completely alone in my pervertedness, but did anyone else get weird mental images of bestiality!Chihiro?

Sorry. Just a thought.

Nope. No relation in the least.

Unless that person happens to be ultra-cool, of course. Then it was me. Yes, me, all along! Hahahaha!

That is, if it's a good person. If not, I'm just plain ol' me.

To tell the truth, I've never been here before. I like it though! *Takes experimental jab with spork*. Teehee! Fun!

Treat well the spork, for it is the Sue-hunter's greatest tool. ;]
