I think Haku just sits in the wings in these fics and files his nails until someone shrieks "TWU WUV!" Beyond the Pretty Boy Twu Wuv, he has no purpose. At all. OF COURSE.

I'm rather relieved somebody found and reported that monster, though I was (childishly) looking forward to ripping into it. The author was particularly offensive to everyone who politely offered concrit.
