I was extremely surprised today after trying to check on Garden Of Shadows. I got a notice that I was banned from there for 2 weeks.

I don't hang at GoS a lot (I pretty much only check their updates), so I'm not very familiar with the rules or moderators or anything, but this reminded me of a similar incident that happened to me a few years ago at Simbella's (I don't know if you know of the place, it was closed years ago). I was banned from there mostly because I happened to disagree with the mods. I was always friendly and helpful to other members there but apparently their little inner circle just didn't like me because I had an opinion of my own and dared to say it out loud... It's amazing how childish and clique-y (I know that's not a real word) things can get on the internet.

Don't let it get to you. I've always thought of you as an incredibly nice person, I don't know why anyone would call you a boring troll.

Thank you Anna for your kind words!! I sort of can understand why someone thinks about me like that because I know I can be annoying. Not many can handle my style to question everything and my want to know exactly why and on what grounds someone is saying something. But still, I do not understand why some have to make it personal.

I do like GOS, they have many talented members and I love their clothing and hair retextures. I also check out the Best Finds, and Worst Stories/Finds, but apart from that I never bother to post. Mostly because I cannot be bothered with all the drama that seems to come from there. I agree with you about if you don't agree with the majority, you get flamed and shouted at and called names. So I don't get involved it that. And believe me, there has been many a time when a post there has made me think 'WTF, that is so wrong/innapropriate/mean' but hey, I'd rather not get banned over silly issues...

Yes, I so agree, there are lots of extremely nice members and so many very talented ones! I have lots of admiration towards people who create there for their creativity and talent.

You are wise ferret, for being quiet. "A silent man is a wise one". I just seem to have some trouble sometimes to be quiet and to not get involved.

I know that nothing is going to change there; the way some mods say things to people who they think are asking stupid questions or for some reason do something against the rules. Or the fact that some mods really think a bit too highly of themselves. It just feels bad because there is no reason why things couldn't be said politely. And I have never liked it when someone raises oneself above the others. Well, I know I should just ignore all that!

Now that I've watched True Blood more (I'm in season 2 and in chapter 5 I think) I have to say I really like your avatar!! And they really were great pumps! ;-)

I really don't know what to say.
I mean, I like GoS and I never had any problem with the mods. I always found them quite polite and nice, way better than mods from some Italian forum. But still. I know that it is not allowed to use sparky icons or signatures, but yours was just ironic, and not annoying at all, as far as concernes me. I just hope that you will decide to come back to GoS, you are a really nice and talented person and I would miss you there (even though I will understand if you decided not to come back.).

Yes, I like it too! And I know that not everyone gets in trouble there. It's just the ones that express their opinion that is against the mainstream there (and against the opinions of some of the mods). And that is something I loathe. Everyone has the right to express themselves and have the right to his/her opinions. No one should be afraid of saying what one thinks

Ohhoh. Mutta jostain syystä en ole yhtään yllättynyt. Heillä tuntuu olevan hyvin erikoinen tapa kohdella ihmisiä siellä ja näyttäisi siltä, että vain heillä (ja vain tietyllä osalla) on ne oikeat mielipiteet mihin tahansa asiaan maan päällä. Mä sain tarpeekseni siitä paikasta silloin, kun oli kauheat sodat DL:n tekemisistä, tuntuu, etteivät ne osanneet silloin ajatella asioita kovinkaan moniulotteisesti, vaan ainoastaan harmaan sävyissä..

No joo, käyn siellä enää katsomassa muutaman kerran viikossa updatet ja best finds osiot, mutta muuten saapi olla.

Ja mikähän siinä on, että ihmisillä ei saa olla kauhean välkkyviä ja värikkäitä allekirjoituksia (niinkuin naureskelevat muilla sivuilla olevan), johan ne kaikki neonväriset värjäykset kirkuu silmään sieltä...

Mä olen onneksi löytänyt "uuden kodin" BlackPearlSimssistä, siellä ollaan aina ystävällisiä (vaikken sanottavasti ole kauheasti osallistunut keskusteluihin, mutta kuitenkin) enkä kaipaa mitään muuta. Paskaa saa niskaan muualtakin kuin foorumeilta :)
