If I got paid that, I'd stay home. In the overall scheme of things, if the government had a subsidy to encourage one parent to stay home, which would free up jobs for others - would that then make our unemployment rates decrease? Lower unemployment rate would mean fewer homeless folks? Gives more people more money to spend which would help the economy?

Yes you would think that rewarding someone for making sure their kids didn't shoot people up in school or something would be appealing. However, no one pays me for doing the things that I do. Granted I probably do less than most mothers, My kids rarely need driving around and my daughter has her own phone so no messages there, however the money I shell out for field trips and all the other stress of things... I should get something. Homemade cards on mothers day are cute but come on...

Ohh, wouldn't that be a great idea? I'd vote for that one...
