LEAST:
#02 - The lighting/bright spot on his face and hair make parts a little pixilated.

BEST:
#04 - Nice softly colored icon.

LEAST:
#01 - The crop is off, for a middle focused crop like that, a central crop would've suited much more. The overall blue tone to the icon, esp the blacks is unflattering + unnatural.

BEST:
#02, nice crop + good use of light

Votes need to be objective and technical, please edit as 'annoying' is most definitely neither. Also, makers are in no way interested in your personal opinion of the subject matter.

LEAST:
#003 - The crop makes it very difficult for someone unfamiliar with the subject to ascertain the character depicted - cutting it off in the middle of the nose is a bit confusing. There's also not much dynamic contrast in the hair, or where it lays over the clothing, which makes the icon muddled overall.

BEST:
#001 - The sharpness here is just right, allowing the facial features to really jump out; the coloring is also nicely balanced. :)
