"It's like when the barn flooded in real life, only tiny and sweet!"

We've been sucked into Archer. As soon as you accept that pretty much every single character is an amoral, completely irredeemable whore (gender-neutral), everything they say is hilarious. Also, Munchkin Axe Cop remains a thing.

More things, or one big thing with sub-things )

I have been hearing a lot of good things about the Sherwood Forest Ren Faire. Too bad it's hot. It's not fair. California and Texas didn't get winter while we here in Northern Japan it froze and Eastern Europe's nothing but an ice block. Take your winter back. I don't want it here! But you can keep the summer. :P

It's a pity they don't have ren faire's here in Japan. They just have tons and and tons of cherry blossoms festivals. AKA the Japanese excuse to get plastered under pretty trees. :)

Nope! Too late! We get winter and you can have 3 months straight of 100-degree weather. It's legal.

Sherwood was a lot of fun. Getting heat-sick was even dumber than usual because it really wasn't hot at all. I mean, it was still morning, amidst all these shady trees, with a nice breeze and everything. D: But they did have beer and wine, so...take that, Japan?

I've never been to a Ren Faire (side effect of usually living in the middle of nowhere). I'd like to, though. I should check and see if Vancouver puts any on anywhere around here. *_*

It would be cool if you had pictures. Am curious about this red velvety thing.

It's really fun, like a highly generalized, all-ages anime convention. Some of the costumes were gorgeous. I wish we could've gotten video of the pack of little girls dancing with the fiddler in the first group of Celtic musicians who were playing near my equivalent of a fainting couch. *had to sit down and very slowly eat some medieval cheese sticks, else would have passed out*

And yes, the velvety thing is awesome. I never get a chance to wear it. ...Combined with the fact that it's approximately the same age as my relationship (coming up on eight years), the little black thingies were probably inevitable. Minus those, it looks pretty boss.
