I'm rather enjoying reading this both from a character- and world-focused perspective - I didn't even know the Draka series existed before this, but I'm still keeping up so nice job on that. Also, gender bending and (maybe?) rather flexible relationship structures, both of which are favourite topics of mine. Truly you are a writer of great talent :)
The Draka series is more than kind of grim, but something of an influence of mine at the same time. I read them at a vulnerable age, and they've never entirely left me. I'm glad it's making sense to you.
I'm not sure why I ended up gender-bending poor Lafarge, but I think she'll be grateful for it in the end. ;-)
