I think people misinterpret the phrasing of "getting to know someone."

You "get" something because it is given, or it is earned. You don't know someone because you think you have the right. You earn an immeasurable amount of trust from a person, and they give you what you were looking for to begin with. By that time, you appreciate everything you ( Read more... )
