Someone here has offered to pay host to you numerous times in the City and you ignore the invites. Perhaps no one visits you because you do not visit them.

If you're talking about my coming to NYC, I'll be frank--that's a matter of money more than anything. I don't travel anywhere. I don't take vacations because I can't afford them. I go to Pensacola because my parents pay for the ticket. It's vulgar of me to say all this, but I don't act as if I have brushed you off. I have not been to New York since 2005.

Apart from that, you know, and I know that I need to make a dyad. You have one yourself. Socializing beyond that is a luxury when there is the leisure, but when times are lean, you do without.

I don't want a lot of friends, really. I need one with whom to build a nest. I need one who is mine. My trousseau is heavy enough.

You presume I even have the luxury to see my partner. Even that is stretch these days. But somehow, I manage to find time for him and for others too.
