After an impromptu conversation with a friend tonight, I may have a decent shot at a job. She said that there are at least four openings at her work and that due to my museum internship in high school, I have a good chance at getting one of the jobs. She lamented a bit about how little it pays (and rightfully so), but my thoughts at that time

Did you get the job?

I still don't know. The jobs became vacant in late November, but I was told by those who work there that they wouldn't be fillled or be interviewing for them until mid-January. After applying online at that time, I had to wait until the job showed up on the website to formally apply for it.

Long story short, it finally did appear online, and I applied, with two interviews scheduled next week.
