Robin headed for the observation deck, climbing up the ladder one handed, clutching a portable, a small pile of paper, and writing materials in his other hand. He'd spent recent days in the chem lab, perfecting his method for the distillation of pure water from mixed chemical ice of the asteroid. All he needed to do now to make rocket fuel was jerry-rig an electrolytic apparatus, but first he needed fuel tanks for the hydrogen and oxygen. He needed to make them as big as possible without exhausting their limited supplies, and he needed to make sure they sealed tight without the use of a welder

"Nothing," she said and immediately paused her current game, so she could stare at him through her visor. "What are you doing up here, kid?"

Robin blinked. Hostile much? "I was gonna work on... rocket design. I can go somewhere else..."

"Unless you plan to make a lot of noise, you're fine here." Her helmet returned its gaze to her portable and she unpaused her thrilling game of Space Invaders. They really needed to upgrade their selection if they were going to throw this kind of crap at them.
