Date: April 20 Characters: Delirium, open to everyone else Location: Observation Deck Summary: Chaos and disorder and disarray? What better time for Delirium to arrive! Warnings: None
I-pin had actually been walking by the ladder to the observation deck when a voice she'd never heard spoke uncertainly across the intercom. What a strange choice of announcements. "Hello up there?" She had been going to work on making some wheat but that could wait. She started climbing up the ladder with soft tings of noise from her feet sliding from one rung to the next. She ducked her head up into the observation deck and looked around. "Hello?"
Delirium was half in, half out of the observation window when she heard I-pin come up the ladder. She turned around and stepped back into the room. "Hi," she said, giving her an uncertain look. "I don't think I know you... my dog lost me. Do you know where I am?"
Oh there she was! I-pin climbed out of the ladder well and straightened her clothes before smiling warmly at the new woman. "Hello."
She tilted her head because the woman had such a funny way of saying things. Her dog lost her? "Ahh I'm I-pin." She bowed to her and then straightened and scratched her cheek shyly. This was the first time she'd been the one to meet a newcomer. She was so new herself she wasn't sure she'd be the best to explain. But it would be rude not to answer. "Well... not precisely, but we're on an asteroid?" She looked around and lit up when she saw the girl's introductory bag and letter and pointed at it. "There's a bit of explanation there although... it's not actually that helpful. We're not even sure how any of us got here."
"Hmmmmmm... " Delirium took a moment to ponder this, chewing on the tip of her finger. She often found herself in places without knowing how she got there, but most people didn't. She walked over to the briefcase, sat down next to it, and popped it open. After looking everything over and popping the mint into her mouth, she pulled a bottle of bubbles out of her pocket and stashed it inside the briefcase. If the letter said she'd volunteered, then she must have volunteered and just couldn't remember.
"Oh!" she said suddenly, hopping back up lightly onto her feet and running over to I-pin. "I just remembered! Hi! I'm Delirium! I'm supposed to say that when I meet new people, but sometimes I forget. Who's NASSES?"
