Brief moment of avuncular pride.

I had heard the rumors that my lovely little neice, not yet 2 years old, had inherited her uncle's (your's truly) and her father's taste for spicy food.

I've just had it confirmed that there are foods she won't eat unless they have tabasco sauce on them.

That's my neice :D

So thankful it's a half day.

Still...was able to sneak off and finish Christmas shopping.
Do laundry, then nap.

Haven't had a chance to fully explore it, but Pandora is rather neat. Don't know enough about music to judge its critera process but it will make my working day a little more musical :)

Deer in my neighborhood have always been a bit of an omen for me. Tonight, as I was coming home, six stunning deer were on the move down my street. Had a visit today from an old family friend. A wonderful elderly gentleman who really deserves the fading adjective of, 'dapper'. He was also one of the last artists in Western Canada who made traditional Eastern Orthodox icons. He is sharp as a whip for his nineties and always sticks his nose in my office to make an amusing comment ( Read more... )

Well, another month end is almost complete. Statements are out, meetings finished, bills paid. A small pocket to breathe in opens again.
