So class was...eventful today. Friggin' grampa, seriously the HELL was that crap??? I' got a weird feeling off Ash too but not to the rip-her-head-off-and-dance-in-pools-of-her-blood level. but like I said to her, there is a lot of bad shit I don't know about...tempted to hit the library since I don't have class this evening

Like I said in class, I'm frustrated, not angry. *Something* went wrong with my family, and nobody wants to talk about it but...if it is never discussed how does it get fixed?

The few times dad has said anything (usually when roaring drunk), it is that the House of Morgaine was one of the most respected Wizard families. Obviously THAT has changed in a big way. I'm a lot of things at Polymagic, respected isn't one of them. My sister isn't either...guys are interested in what's under her skirt not what's under her hair :P

By the by, do you know of any way to detect magic *skills*? I know how to detect spells one they've been laid, but not latent abilities. Mom and Ciara insist she is a squib but weird shit happens around her all the time that can't be explained by guys lusting after her or coincidence.

I think it's possible, but it's not in my range of abilities. There will definitely be faculty members capable of it, I just don't know which, since I wasn't here on the opening day of classes. That's when it most often comes up.

There are also certain magical artifacts that react to magical potential, but I don't know of any on this continent. Back in Tokyo there was a book of evil magic, for instance, that would glow based on how powerful someone was.
