Character: Lin
Abilities: Lin is seen handling a pistol easily and demonstrates quick reflexes. As Vicious's personal bodyguard and former protégé of Spike Spiegel, Lin is well trained in several forms of martial arts. His skills tend to manifest in a street brawl style that focuses on landing several crushing blows to totally immobilize the opponent if not outright killing them. Some martial arts have fancy philosophies like 'be as water.' Lin's fighting philosophy is simply 'punch and kick him until he can't get back up, ever.' That being said, he's not one for long, drawn-out battles and prefers his fights to end quickly. He favors firearms above all else. And what kind of bodyguard would he be if he weren't well versed in how to use those

Personality: Lin desires more than anything to channel out all of his weakness -- affection, loneliness, even joy, out of himself. He has always wished to be like Vicious, completely devoid of these weak emotions. He built what he sees as a very complete and perfect version of himself, this physically strong and incredibly loyal individual. In essence, he maintains a very steady and hardened facade. Were he allow himself to examine his own feelings, wants and needs, let his heart see some light, he might admit to himself that he was led astray at some point. He made some wrong decisions and followed the wrong man. Maybe Vicious is sick. Maybe Lin would have been better off dying on the streets than becoming part of the Red Dragons. Maybe he's worse than trash for completely betraying the only people in his life who ever gave a damn about him

Hiiragi Jun - 2/3

[character history / background]: Jun grew up a somewhat-tough childhood. Always overlooked and ignored because of his older brother, Jun began to hate him and rebelled against his mother's wishes. Not wanting to be like Hiiragi, Jun took up the electric guitar (and dyed his hair purple.) He, along with his butler, moved to London and remained there until he turned 14. Jun returned to Japan after the Da-chan/Hiiragi drama. Over the next few months, just like his older brother, Jun would become the supplier of dark power to Kuromi's Melody Key. History has a tendency to repeat itself and he became obsessed with the dark power. Da-chan, after recovering from his loss earlier that year, was able to possess Jun. Hiiragi, along with Uta and her friends, managed to defeat Da-chan and save Jun. The brother's relationship grew for the first time in years, the two making amends for their past rivalry. Now that summer was over, the two returned to their schools (Hiiragi's in France, Jun's in America) to continue their education and careers.

Jun just stared in disbelief as his brother got back into the car and drove off. Uta seemed equally surprised.

Did.. that.. just happen?

The angered boy clutched his fists, his guitar on his lap. "IT'S NOT FAIR!" He shouted, "The guitar's supposed to be MY instrument!" How dare Hiiragi come out of no where, ruin his date, AND out play him on his very own guitar. The reason Jun picked the guitar in the first place was to be different than Hiiragi. He wanted to be better than his brother at atleast something and now that dream was just shattered. No matter what he did, Hiiragi was always better or one step ahead. It had been like that since they were little.

It figures. The one thing to make me different from him and he has the balls to prove me wrong. "It's out of tune," he says. Tch. What a jerk!Uta frowned, noticing Jun's confidence wavering, "Jun-kun.. It's alright. I still think you're good at playing." Although that was a bit of a lie. She might of enjoyed it.. if she was into rock music

We'd like to note that while this is a very good application, we would have still rejected it just like the last time had another player been as honest as you and reminded us that this series is only available in Japanes, instead of sneaking in. To be fair, because of that misunderstanding, we have judged this as a normal application, but are including this note so that nobody assumes we have altered our rules in any way in regards to series' that are not yet available in English.

Character: Abaddon (Demon of Destruction), Alias: Reverend Abby Smith

Abilities: Only known demon in his world able to be hit with Holy Water and take no damage, Powers of Destruction (repressed by the City-unable to be used), pair of white wings + ability to fly, excellent sword-fighting ability, power to control small bits of fire/create a small flame in the palm of his hand.

Flaws/weaknesses: Abaddon is arrogant-it’s one of his main flaws, and one of the ones that brought about his downfall in the first place. Because of this arrogance, when he is in a situation that benefits himself, where he holds power, he likes to talk, and he often talks too much. He also more often than not makes faulty decisions in his attempts to regain the power he’s lost, often acting too quickly or impulsively. Though this part of his personality isn’t as strong as it was-he

Abaddon App 2 - History pt 1

History/background: Abaddon was once a great demon of Hell. He was in the upper division, invited to all the grand torture gatherings (the stonings were his favorite) and board meetings and pool parties (it was so amusing to watch human souls squirm in the heat while he basked in the cool of a pool)-he was the cream of the crop; second to Beelzebub himself in favoritism, envied by all below him, headed straight to the chiefdom of the Seventh Circle of Hell

Abaddon App 3 - History pt 2

While he was busy expostulating at length about the greatness of his victory and how this would lead to a large promotion for himself, one of the two angels managed to work herself loose from the ropes, and when Abaddon turned his back on them to leave, freed the other angel as well. Now, normally, two lower-class angels would be no match for a higher class demon, but one of the angels had a vial of Holy Water for emergencies. Now, Holy Water is to demons as acid is to humans-it burns, viciously, and seers the skin away from the flesh, corroding anything it touches that is deemed ‘evil’, including clothing. As you can imagine, having a vial of Holy Water tossed onto your back is not a happy condition when you’re a demon. The liquid melted his coat and shirt in an instant, burning onto his skin, and causing him to drop the documents and fall to his knees. By some divine (or not so divine) grace, the Holy Water managed to miss his wings, but that didn’t do anything for his back, which was slowly being eaten through

Abaddon App 4 - Personality

Personality: Abaddon, when he’s Reverend Abby Smith, is a kind, gentle man who looks to be in his late twenties, with soft features and a sweet disposition that helps to soften even the hardest of hearts. He is rather soft-spoken, except for when he’s on the pulpit, when he becomes full of passion and fire for his religion, his preaching able to inspire even the half-sleeping husband to awaken or the fidgety child to sit up and pay attention. Many often call him far too trusting-he’d let even the Devil himself inside his own home. Abby prefers to respond to this chastisement with a smile and a counter that perhaps, if the Devil did sit at his table, he could convince him to repent and rejoin heaven as a host of the Lord

Unfortunately, the application was not sufficiently convincing. As it stands, there are too many inconsistencies with both the character's abilities and flaws and with the personality section in conjuncture with the RP sample for us to fully appreciate the application. Feel free to submit a new application during the next application week, and just as free to inquire a mod [messenger contact preferably] as to the reasons behind the rejection.
