[Random] Postcards From Tokyo, Winter

Feb 11, 2008 22:16

Once in a while I send postcards from Tokyo with original writing, usually something very short. The last round of postcards went out over New Year 2008. By now, everyone who was on the list should have received their cards, and I can now post the poem that was mailed. ^_^

1.
inside, warm fire burns
under the door--hush, listen!
maybe twilight calls ...

warm breath greets winter
earth genuflects, angel dust--
snowflakes softly fall

This one ended up being the final candidate for all the winter postcards (and some letters). I hope everyone who received a postcard or letter enjoyed the snowflake stationery. ♥

2.
lofty burdens, green
despite impermanent white
another red wine?

For some reason, I didn't send this poem. I think ultimately it came down to whether or not I had appropriate stationery, and there was nothing really apropos for this. It is posted here for posterity.
