[Random] Postcards From Tokyo, Spring

Jun 24, 2008 17:00

[We are now in mid-summer, and I only just realized I haven't posted the Spring poem, oops! Archiving doesn't count as breaking hiatus, right? ^_^;;;]

Once in a while I send postcards from Tokyo with original writing, usually something very short. By now, everyone who was on the list should have received their cards, and I can now post the poem that was mailed. ^_^

1.

pink droplets are raining
falling
splashing
in puddles; we are ankle-deep
five, the favored few
to life! we cry
knees to knees to hips to thighs
to us! echo the trees
heads tip back, clear absolution
burning in freefall
our intimate connection to all

Yes, it's incredibly pretentious and not very good. This may explain why I haven't done any poems since then.
