does anyone about the phase one two-day orientation for fall 2006? is it necessary that students stay in the dorms there overnight? can't i just stay in a hotel nearby? it seems a little ridiculous if thats true, but its really unclear.

i would think it's important to stay in the dorms during phase one... they come and get you out of your rooms in the morning to continue the orientation. it's only for one night... it wouldn't hurt anything. over the past two years or so, they've had the phase one freshmen staying in the nicer dorms on campus anyways.

Nice dorms? I stayed in Frank phase one :(

But, it is required. There's no way out of it, that I know of. My roommate and I tried our damndest, though..

right... i stayed in coltrane, but that was a couple of years ago... from what i understand, they've been known to put people in newland...
