In the back of the mind, and there it grows.
You forget sometimes -and keep moving.
But it’s always there. Waiting.

Why- you don’t even know.
You push past, though still it holds.
You scold it -scold yourself.
You have more important things to do.

You go on. The ache goes on. Life goes on.

I have to wonder: If I'm the only one who sees it... is it perhaps I who am blind? Maybe it is so. Everyone is so keen on revenge, eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. What's the point? I dreamed last night that I had to face a giant dragon armed only with a box cutter. To defeat it, I would need to stab it in each of its eight hearts. Needless to say, I failed. It flew off after delivering a few near-fatal wounds with its teeth. I think I did get a couple of its hearts, though ( Read more... )
