*nods* Sadly, there's nothing more that can be done for those who already have HPV. The vaccine won't hurt them, but it won't help. But it can and will prevent future infections, so. . . !
Feel free! We've been trying to spread the news through the office, and I figured my LJ was a good way to pass the news. So yes, pass it on, encourage others to pass it on!
It is a little expensive, but its very much worth it. Since this is a rather large break-through, hopefully other forms of cancer or AIDS can be treated better. :)
*nods* That's what I'm hoping -- HPV is the most common STD, and one of the more common cancers (though a lot less since pap smears became standard). Hopefully a success with this will me successes for other treatments!
>.< Ugh. I was without insurance for a little while -- not fun. :( However, they think that most insurances are not going to cover it in women over 12 anyway, so. . . Sadly, we're all stuck paying $360.
