Somewhere in the last few days I've noticed my story needs a prologue -- without it, it wouldn't make much sense. At all. Either that or it's a Serious Case of Big Ol' Mr. Cliché, which we can't have, of course. I'm still about a day or so behind, but it's going okay now, I guess. :) I'm surprised I still haven't given in to the temptation of writing fantasy, but I'm suspecting this project will turn out to be more of the magical realism variant than lit fic. xD

You know, I had hoped writing realistic fiction this year would make writing easier. Turns out, it hasn't. I keep getting inclined to have aliens landing in the backyard, or have zombies randomly appear. :/
I should probably kill a character off, I heard it helps. D:

NaNoWriMo: A History of Procrastination
I can't believe this will be my sixth year wrimo-ing. Despite that, it being two days (or, technically, a day and three hours) before National Novel Writing Month 2010 starts. It feels the same as any previous year: excitement, anxiety -typical wrimo emotions, I guess.

In order to get myself into the habit of writing before NaNoWriMo begins, I've decided to write some small scenes - snapshots, if you'd like - based on the Word of the Day feature on dictionary dot com. Window Star is the first one.
