WOW THIS WAS AN AMAZING POST!
I always do the cap-texturing too! It can be soo helpful and often makes such beautiful colours!
I also love the way you use tetures. At the moment I am totally addicted to block-texturing my icons (is that even a word?) like in my userpic.

Also, thanks for this (filter→Render→Fibers). I think I have never tried it before (or maybe I did and just don't know what it is in German)
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS :)

Ps: The green Curtis icon is super pretty and I never knew you made that awesome Gaga icon! I am so in love with it!

:DDDDD I'm so glad you liked it!
& I'm glad there are others who use caps for textures, for a while there I thought I was crazy!
Your block-texturing looks fantastic, I'll have to try that out! Do you use the same texture for all of the blocks, or pick out similar ones?

Thank you so much, and it's wonderful to hear you like them! :)

Nahhh, that's one of the best techniques ever. I also blended my userpic with the picture itself (you can see the boxershorts and part of this back of the guy who's on his knees right under the text) I don't think anyone ever noticed but I like it a lot:D

I use loads of textures from this wonderful website. Sarisafari led me there and it was the best thing that ever happened to my iconing!

This is so helpful. Thank you for typing everything out and listing your texture resources! I don't use Tumblr so that whole thing is foreign to me, but I never knew there were so many great texture makers on there. :D

"So as you can see, my process is this: find cap, fuck with cap. End of tutorial."
VALID METHODS.

Also using caps as textures is SMART.
And using Hue/Saturation to change colors of stuff, I do this an embarassing lot.

TBH I loved that title and couldn't wait to make the teaser for this post, lol. SO THANK YOU!
Hue/Saturation is like crack to me, IDK what I'd do without it. THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW HOW GREAT IT IS.
