Dad was taken by the ambulance again today to the hospital. They are going to run a whole bunch more tests and try to figure out why he can't stay standing and keeps falling. This is an update about Daddy. I got a call from my aunt Mary this weekend when I was up to my elbows in suds, so my friend was going take a message but my aunt was calling from the hospital. I know it has been awhile since I updated on my dad but that kind of goes along with No news is good news. He is doing really well. Slowly getting stronger and gaining more weight. Never though I would get so excited about french toast. I got up this morning to get my dad his drink like I have been doing all the time except this time as I come downstairs I hear the tv on. We are able to get my father to eat a little bit more then before so he is gaining back some energy. The problem is he still continues to loose weight because with his little stomach he still gets full very quickly. He only has this dose of radiation until thursday and then I think they are going to give him time to recover a bit before they do ( Read more... )

He (meaning my dad) just had a full exam with another cat scan. It still won't tell us anything but where we can localize the radiation. The doctors are saying he is way to weak to go into chemo after the radiation. So we can't work on getting rid of the problem but he will be to weak to work on it. Ok so dad is still continueing to loose weight. He has now lost over fifty pounds since this hole thing started back around Christmas. The doctors keep telling him he has to eat but all he does is fight about it with my mom and I. It is so frustrating. We won't know if the radiation is working or not for about another month. Today is my dads forth day of radiation only 15 more days to go. It really sucks because all he wants to do is sleep. I make him breakfast every morning he comes down eats it and goes and lays down again. Then he gets up and takes a shower, comes back and sleeps until his appt for radiation.
