I'm it. melissa_tlc tagged me. She seems to think I’ll fill out this meme. Ha! As if I have the time for memes! I’m extraordinarily busy here at work, drinking my coffee and surfing through LJ!

I watched half of Shaun of the Dead (for the 87 millionth time)…

This movie has SUXed so much of my life. And I can't hear Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" without dying laughing.

Seriously. My new punishment for people is that I will hit them upside the head with a cricket bat.

I just need one for my office. I am ordering one sometime this month, should I find one that's reasonably priced and possibly not requiring international shipping. Fucking students.

LOLOL - Kill the Queen! That scene is hysterical. The whole thing is hysterical. But I think my favorite moment might be when he unknowingly slips in the blood, at the beginning, when he's buying his Diet Coke. It's one of those moments that unfailingly makes a laugh lurch right out of me. Just... brilliant.

Oh, that was fun to read. Some miscellaneous shout-outs:

U2. Ani DiFranco. Double word up, though I have an Ani cut-off after 1998 or so. Her stuff before that I thought was just about the most brilliant thing ever, and my friends and I would go to every show we could. Afterwards, not so much. I can probably still recite the lyrics, though. I wonder what ever happened to my "Every tool is a weapon if you hold it right" T-shirt...

The X-Files (the truth was out there, Chris, you moron). Sigh. Yes indeed. The archetype of the creator-destroyed fandom. I stopped watching before the end.

Laptop, The Bookie (HBP), Xbox, iPod, my collection of enormous and chintzy five-dollar earrings. Umm, me too on four out of five? ;) Though the Xbox has been a little neglected lately, presumably due to the absence of any new Star Wars RPGs to obsess over.

I finished a book. And I won’t say anything else. Wow! and, awww. :D

Oh, your poor Xbox! You should play Jade Empire! It's not KotOR (I'm assuming you know KotOR since you said SW RPG), but it's great! It's still BioWare! It's not quite as good a story, but it's not button mashing, either! And God knows it's a better story than KotOR II (no closure with Atton, so uncool, wtf...)

Actually, don't play it! It will just eat your brain, like Harry!

But man, it's a great game. And the soundtrack is absolutely beautiful. I'm actually listening to it right now.

I cut Ani off too! Same time! And I stopped watching X-files before the end too!

I'm so high on exclamation points right now. I need to chill!

:) Yeah, I have JE, I was super excited for it when it came out. I got kind of sidetracked after a little while, life things like job interviews and publishing papers, but also it was not absorbing me quite the same way. It's really really really beautiful and I was liking the combat system, but I felt like I had to run around chatting with a million people a little too much, and I hadn't yet gotten into the characters. I'm sure KotOR got many unconscious bonus points from me for being set in the SW universe, too. Anyway, once I can stop thinking about Harry Potter for more than ten minutes at a stretch I'm sure I'll try to get back into it... :)

And God knows it's a better story than KotOR II (no closure with Atton, so uncool, wtf...)Oh yeah, I'm right with you on Sith Lords. Did you hear about all the content for the ending that was cut from the game, but still left buried on the disc? It sounded like they were trying to make a much cooler ending, where all the influence you ( ... )

Sorry, meant to get back to you on this earlier - I do know about that stuff, but never bothered reading it or hunting it down because... because it's just more frustrating. It was supposed to be IN THE GAME. It's obnoxious to play a game for that many hours and get some stupid Kreia summary at the end of it. I felt totally cheated.

I never take for granted anymore that any artist I love is going to keep doing something great just because they've been great before.Yeah. It's not that I actively am bitter toward Ani - at all. It's just that I lost interest, which floors me, considering that when Dilate came out, my roommate and I bought it that day and sat in a dark room and just listened to it, from beginning to end, and were suspended in a sort of angsty, perfect ecstasy. She was so great ( ... )

I never realized that you had studied theatre! That makes me really happy, for some reason. ;)

*sends cyber Twizzlers*

Oh, and you actually wrote a book? That's just spiffy on a whole new level.
