*blows dust off journal* Yes, I'm alive, for those of you who don't know that already from Facebook, Twitter, etc. I mostly (well, ok... only) use LJ for communities now.

One of my cats likes to play with plastic water bottle caps. Whenever I bring a bottle to my desk and set the cap down, she jumps onto the desk, bites the cap, and runs off with it. I'm constantly finding them all over the house. It's really cute.

I signed up on barackobama.com on the day he announced his candidacy almost two years ago, when the website kept crashing because they hadn't prepared for such an onrush of visitors. I watched his numbers go from impossible to 297. And I have no words for the thrill I feel right now.
