Found this on the web. Has anyone else come across or tried book altering? I'm caught between a) thinking that it looks really interesting and b) my upbringing, in which I was taught not to disfigure/damage books (well, when you use libraries a lot, that's probably a good habit, isn't it?!).

Looks like there may be a comic shop opening at the bottom of Park St. Couldn't see a name on it though, and couldn't really stop to look as I didn't want to lose momentum for the walk up the hill :)

Back to the Iyengar Yoga class at the local gym - this time it was the real teacher rather than a substitute.

Children's writer Joan Aiken dies.

Just rediscovered Green & Black's white chocolate. Not usually a fan of white chocolate, but the G&B stuff is something else. Definitely recommended!

Recently been seeing some stuff about this. It's a Dave McKean, Neil Gaiman & Henson Pictures film. Sounds like the plan is to do the next 'Dark Crystal'/'Labyrinth' sort of thing. A modern take on a Victorian fashion: hair jewellery. I might even have to check out their stall at the harbour festival this weekend.

This cropped up in the 'Big Read' list which was doing the rounds. I knew it was being made into a movie, but it looks like it's actually out now - though the only local place that seems to be showing it is the Warner Village cinema at Cribbs Causeway.
