Because I know everybody on my friends list has been adrift and sad, wondering "What is Liz doing these days? Why doesn't she update her Livejournal? I am hopelessly lost without her inane posts

no! you can't move out of the country right at I'm moving to phildelphia. may you incure many expensive expenses and have no job offer so that I can hang out with you for a while!!! (just joking. actually, lots of luck and congratulations on your upcoming graduation. it's a lot less exciting than everyone says it is.)
No worries, the move will probably be in Novemeber. We can hang out! It will be fun. I'll show you awesome things in Philly, like the medical oddities museum and the good gyro and falafel place.
yay falalfel!! I was kind of worried that there might not be good middle eastern food there and I would have to spend a lot of time going to and from queens.
Congratulations! Also, you are old enough to drink, just not in the country in which you currently reside. Best of luck remedying that situation.
I've been thinking about getting some sort of certification. Are you planning on doing it at an actual school or through a quicker online thing? Also, do you know if there's any difference between CELTA certification or ones called things like TESOL or TESL?
CELTA is ceritfied through Cambridge in the UK and is internationally recognized. They are the preferred non degree program for teaching ESL in Europe. There offer intensive 4 week/120 hour courses at certified cites internationally. They also have a longer program that meets for several weeks (I think 10 or 12) and is part-time. TESOL and TEFL etc. are less well-known abroad, but they are more convenient because the ceritfications can be done online through many companies. These programs are usually US based and have ceritfication through a variety of organizations. There are CELTA programs in South America, Europe, Asia and the US. But the US cites are in Denver and San Francisco, so it would be almost as inconvenient as doing it overseas. Many organizations offer some form of TESOL or TEFL ceritfication, and if you want to do one of these programs you have to do more research into their certifiying organizations than with CELTA.
Woah. Congrats. Cool. Well shit. Nifty. Me either.
In no particular order.
And, damn, Hungary? I was there for close to a week (in seperate chunks) in December. I adored it and want to go back (in the spring.) But, well, I miss you!
