Injecting some levity... tough_cookie17 February 25 2005, 14:33:08 UTC
*has urge to sing "Circle Of Life" by Elton John*

Must...resist...Lion...King...

I completely agree with you, although I don't actually remember when above thing occured.
April-ish 2004? *thinks back* Oh yeah, the old PC was taken away and I could only get access to the 'net once a week at a 'net cafe. Yeah, definitely explains how I missed that. Also makes this less shocking and seem less randomly-out-of-the-blue.

Oh, I see. Can I point something out here?

I was telling the truth when I said that LJ post had nothing to do with her. Do you want to know what happened? Okay. I'll tell you.

A girl named Nicola Childs, who I know -- knew -- in real life, was being stroppy for no apparent reason. I posted about this in my Livejournal, which I had no reason to believe GreyLadyBast -- who was in no way a friend, was on on my LJ friends list, and was not someone I had ever spoken to -- would even read, even had I considered that she might think it had to do with her. When she proceeded to read it and assume it was her, I apologised. You know what? I don't think I should have bothered with that, either. It leads to this sort of thing. I've still not seen her give a reason why I, a /guest/ at Bjam's house, should have any reason -- or right -- to make decisions regarding this trip. If you can explain why I got attacked, please, do.

The emphasis wasn't on the fact that it wasn't about Bast, but that, according to Bast's post in that entry, you and she had obviously had that same kind of conflict before. I quoted the page where you guys made up--sort of--because greyladybast's response about being hurt, about losing her temper, about people thinking that she was overreacting, were the *exact same* issues that were played on recently on her LJ. (And after I talked to her on IM yesterday, she used nearly identical wording to describe her feelings, even before Araeph the Compulsive Saver had sent her the transcript from when the Board fractured a few months ago ( ... )

I've stayed out of this until now, but I do want to make an observation about a possibly overlooked factor. Bast said that Bjam promised to let her know as soon as she got an answer from her parents. From what Bjam has said, she hadn't seen her parents to speak to them before she posted the shout-out ( ... )

Mad? Uh-oh.

No, I don't mind at all. Can't promise too many updates, though. School has been difficult this semester. :)

I'm doing well. Just been very, very busy. I got decent grades on finals, played at Carnegie Hall with my orchestra, and got an internship at Amherst Writers and Artists. Today, I spent my hours doing Internet searches looking for certain kinds of magazines. Yesterday it was doing concrit on poetry. Not bad at all!

I still frequent the PPC board, even though I don't post a lot. I've shifted gears a bit and am now reporting Sues in the PotC Sue sporking community, heave_ho. It's fun. We have the Black Pear again!

Agents Mara and Isaiah will return, never fear. It's good to hear from you. Take care!

Hasta luego,

~Araeph
