We all know my
feelings about the opening episode of The Hour most of which were borne out of anticipation and an early screening. Looking back it's the weakest ep of Series One I think, but I personally thought it did a beautiful job of exposition and getting the plot moving all at a pace that was quick and sharp. It didn't lag, it didn't feel overly laden in getting going, I thought it showed us our environment beautifully. Not to mention it set the period fantastically. Also that episode was beautiful to look at.
