Sharing this link that jessie_pup sent me - I find that Twitter can get me a tad worked up with daily outrage, so it was really nice to see this incredibly inspirational pic, of our planet, from the second most beautiful planet in our Solar System, Saturn.

RIP Kerry O'Day
This had started out with me trying to compose three 'good things' for the day past, but then reflecting on how bittersweet the first of these was - to find oneself regularly reminded of fond memories of a friend who had recently passed away - it turned into an exercise in trying to put some of these down in writing, and suddenly 'good' really didn ( Read more... ) -

The headline in today's paper reads:
Ban for 'Spice' drug sold on the web
Apparently a "legal high" was being sold to teens in the UAE and was called 'Spice'.
It seem quite an obvious street name for a substance in the middle east.
Presumably, side effects include:- blue-in-blue eyes
- premonitions of one's own future
- warping of space-time

Okay, can't (and wouldn't want to) take any credit for the Family Guy episode title which tackled the prickly issue of gay marriage - but this post is just a quick "omg awesome weekend and friends' civil partnership ceremony", and also a quick shout out to any friends who might be attending the B.U. pub meet on Tuesday.

Finished watching the second episode of the modern "reimagining" of The Prisoner (thanks to it being available on ITV1).
This episode seemed to revisit some of the classic staples of the original...i.e. The complete mind-f*ck that 6 was routinely exposed to. Therapy was interesting with it's surreal overtones, and I have to love Sir Ian McKellan's ( Read more... ) -
Attention hyena-fans!
Those enamoured of these peculiar looking creatures with a reputation for being class clowns of the animal kingdom, you might like to know that Ript Apparel have a tee shirt for today only that features one against a backdrop of a howling-at-moon silhouette.
I'm a little confused...not associating hyenas with howling...but it's still a neat tee.
