also. i bought my first piece of grown up furniture. everything else i have is a hand me down!  i even got my couch and chair from a village homes model home furniture sale! 
my bedroom is the size of a shoe box so i really needed storage. i thought i should get a bed frame with drawers in it until the bed saleman showed me this little number.

my zucchini and squash plants are unhappy.
my golden and red peppers are turning to mush instead of turning gold and red.
my green patty squash flowered a lot but were all no shows.
only one acorn squash all year.

thursday christy and i head for the dakotas. i can't wait to take her to the local bar in my hometown.  should be good times for sure.  however. there are no taxis in small hometown.  might have to wake mom and dad up at 2 am. haaa

eric and i are going to aesop rock and atmosphere at red rocks tonight!!! i'm so excited!! i hope it doesn't rain on us.

i took a yoga class a few weeks ago and fell in love with it but just couldn't add it to my already busy life schedule. so i bought a few dvd'sonline and finally got a mat today so i think i'll give it a shot tonight!  i hope the dvd's are somewhere near as good as the class was.

my pottery teachers friend is putting on a shoe show...any kinds of shoes made of clay but also can include mixed media.  i'm making a turtle shoe.  
this is the shoe pre-glaze last night.  i did the shell part in a green and the shoe base in a sort of reddish/brown. i hope it's radical!  then i'm going to add grass to the base somehow.  eric is ( Read more... )

 i posted some pics of my crazy garden and new pottery!

last night in pottery i worked on my 'turtle' shoe. my teachers friend does a shoe show and i'm going to enter.  it's a juried show and all that so it's serious and that makes me nervous! i also forgot to poke an air hole in the shoe so it might just explode in the kiln.  good times.

tomorrow is my birthday. i'll be 31.  it's kinda weird to be 'in my 30's' officially now.

i think i'm ok with it.
