I can't answer for Cindy, so I'll answer for myself.
Two years ago when Bush won the election I said "I'd rather live in Canada." So I did. I moved to Canada, where I met Canadians who would also rather live in Canada. And it was pretty good, at least when it wasn't 45 below zero.
But the US didn't go away. It was still here, and it was still doing stupid stupid things and announcing the intention to do even stupider things. And my Canadian friends started bugging me about it. "It's not our country - it's YOUR country. It's YOUR responsibility to fix it. What are you doing over here? Go back to the United States. Vote in your elections. Persuade your countrymen. Fix your country's mistakes."
And so I did. That's partly why I choose to live in our flawed country. Because I can do more good and fight more evil inside than outside. It's possible that Cindy feels the same way, but like I said I can't speak for her. She's a professional activist, and you can't be an effective activist from thousands of miles away.
Cindy's only experience with soldiers was with her son. She thinks all soldiers are war criminals. Draw the obvious conclusions from this, regarding what happens to your kids when you raise them with Liberal values.

I wish she would just shut the hell up. Her son was old enough to know what he was doing. In the beginning I felt sorry for her because she lost her son and her mind all at one time. Now she's just annoying me
