after a 2nd look, the book I'm working on is now just under 52k words. wee! 

It is official! Today, I have finished the very first, very rough draft of a book.  a real novel-to-be (hopefully).  Just so that I remember, it's just a bit over 44.5k words, which is wayyy too short for a real novel, but there are missing sections, lots of expansion that needs to be done.  My goal, for now, is to get the book to at least 65k-70k ( Read more... )

Tonight has been a "I miss my mom lots" kind of a night.  For various reasons.  all small.  just all together.  I loved living briefly across from her while we visited late Dec/early Jan.  Just to know that she's across the way.  To know that she's okay every day.  To eat her food.  She's not dead, and I don't know what that would ever feel like.  ( Read more... )

Nothing specially interesting has happened recently, which I think is a good thing mostly hehe.  I've been working a lot, and my feet and legs have been super sore.
