Wait, it's over? That's not all is it? Can't we have another 8 more funerals? See, I'm not afraid to speak ill of the dead. Shoot, there's still another few more months to capitalize off this before the Republican convention. First, I remember reading and being impressed by some RR to family letters Time deemed worthy of publishing a while ago, he seemed a perfectly lovely Father, admitting his mistakes, offering respectful good advice, blah blah. Second, I remember when I was growing up it was quite clear (from my parents, from the media) that nuclear war/complete death was perfectly possible. It took a while to forget that. I feel sad for his family, I suppose, but FUCK. I was 4-5 years old or something and aware of the possibility of nuclear war, geez. Uh fuck Brezhnev too, man. Haha I think I might make this an entry, too. I'd kinda forgotten those fears.

"ondering why the guy who hosed our parents down the steps over free speech ended up being our President...and wondering how a film staring such a cool chimpanzee could be so fucking boring, because they really did air 'Bedtime for Bonzo' on a monthly basis."
HAHAHAHAHA.
yes.
growing up with rabidly liberal parents, i honestly equated the word "reagan" with evil in the way that the children of rabidly catholic parents must equate the word "satan" with evil. and my parents were pretty much right.

the best part is they're going to milk this nostalgia to keep gw in office. if they even let us have an election, that is. i'm beginning to become extremely paranoid about marshal law. then again, you know i'm prone to paranoia.
