then why compete?

we- as humans, have a wonderful gift-- choice.

theres a flaw in your plan, lovely.
no matter if you find something that you are truely happy with, there are other conflicts around it.

your right that people are evershifting, thats just life.

you cant live in the past, youve changed and wheather for good or bad, its there..

adapt. live on.

be happy in the end.

im here if you need to talk (not that you would =] ah the awkwardness..)

These were just random thoughts written down. And it's not really a plan, or anything, jsut a thought. And you're right, it is a matter of choice, but like I said, those who don't compete, fail. Those who fail can't find a job, money, etc etc, which i suppose truely isn't needed, but at the same time, those things help you interact with other people which often times are a great source of happiness. So in a way, by not competing, (and choosing to not try to take from someone else in the end)one in some way or another secludes him or herself.

thats when you have to pick and choose your battles. if a perticular thing is going to hurt you more then beefit, why do the competeing? like... if you tried to get a really good job, but you hated the job and it made you miserable, but it paid well, it wouldnt be worth it, in the long run it would only hurt you.

im not saying just sit down and refuse to play. make up your own rules, so to speak.

whos definition of 'fail' are we useing here?

because in all honesty, its only your perception that matters.

if you think yourself doomed to fail, chances are, you will.

I think you're missing the point of the writting. This is on a broader scale, it's totally general. And the point is, whenever one strives to suceed, and does, someone elses loses that chance, and at the same time, if that person did not suceed, he or she may have lost a chance, which may have benifited him or her. The point is that no one can have any more than anyone else without taking it from someone else. And because we're always taught to be ambitious, and to try to get what we want, we can never truely be satisfied with only what we have. Whether it's because it doesn't fulfill our basic needs or our basic wants. If we have it, it's because someone else doesn't.

-what about thigs that are limitless? like emotions, stuff like that.

- this is seriously a condemning way of looking at it. its sad that people have to resort to thinking this way.
