My folks kept honey bees for years, smart little buggers. The wild kind are just evil though. So glad you didn't get stung, or taken in for observation.

I now have this mental image of bees in little white coats trying to catch you at the pump.

The bees are after us! Run!!!!

OMG poor Pren!! That it toally and utterly horrific!!!! The only worse thing I can imagine is if they were spiders.

I am with you and totally and utterly bug phobic. creepy crawlers of any kind..... *:shudder*

when I came home from STarbucks Saturday night the front porch light had stayed on (it's motion sensored) and the porch area was covered with MOTHS!! I had to stand there and debate do I call J who is undoubtedly asleep at midnight to open the door for me or I man up and open the door and run in. ANd I had to tell myself, they are just another form of butterflies...

And yes, I have called him to let me in when it's been a roach or a spider or some other horendous creepy crawler between me and the door.

I am glad I am not alone in this :D

That sounds so awful! I'm glad you are okay and unstung. You are a great story teller, and while being horrified for you I was also giggling a bit. :)

Yay for Pren's stories of travel disaster and the freak intersections of nature and humanity she finds in her travels!

ha! what other freak intersections have i found? i cant think of any. i think they are so traumatising i block them from my mind.

but you being the little earth goddess that you are probably would have said "oh hello little bee friends..." and sang them a song like snow white and they would have worked together for you to operate the squeegee. hahahaha. that just painted a funny picture for me :0)

I totally would have befriended the bees and maybe organized them to plant trees and fight global warming. . . (after operating the squeegee, of course!)

You don't remember your trip home from LA when you took the wrong turn, and ended up at the gas station in the middle of nowhere haunted by an evil (or at least mysterious) attendant. . and I swear you drove through a swarm of bees that time, too.

remember???
