You are amazing. I don't think I'd be able to keep my big ol trap shut. ;^)

I once walked in to the office of the owner of a company I worked for after he gave me crap that I didn't care about this business because I wasn't going to the summer BBQ. (I had a baptism to go to) It was 10pm at night, I was working my ass off late after being there all damn day and he had the *nerve* to tell me that? I thought it over decided I didn't need the job that bad and followed him into his office and asked him who the hell he thought he was saying I didn't give a crap... blah, blah, blah. Anyway, I didn't get canned (whew~) and he actually had more respect for me in the end. Of course you can't really do that in retail.

HOWEVER, your manager is an ass for not sticking up for you and company policy is crap if they make the servers pay for dinners out of pocket on dine and dashers. I'm just sooo mad for you!!! Rawr!

awww poor Pren.
I want to go up there, find them, and kick their asses.. or their nuts :D
I hate people like that who don't understand that at a busy restaurant, there will be wait time!

I only made a big stink about a wiatress once and that was because we asked for a fork so we could eat and instead, she sat with her friends and chit chatted with her friends.

If someone goes out with out paying, run out and get their tag and call the police :D

i agree. i do have a point at which a waitress will give zero tip. that point is when she is leaning instread of binging us stuff we need.

basicly i can tell if they have too amny tables, or are short staffed, or are new, or the restraunt is very busy. i understand. if they are at least communicating (which is all they really can do they arent cooking the food) then im good. but chatting with friends is not ok.

i would love to get their tag but everyone parks in a tall structure not in front of the restraunt. yeah chad said basicly the same thing if they hadnt paid since their bill was so much it would have been a felony which doesnt really help me imidiatley since id still have to pay for it that night.

That is so many kinds of not okay!

*squishes*

It's been a lot of years since I worked in food service, way back then if a customer started cussing a waitress out, the manager would ask the customers to leave. End of story.

i know right!? well i think that would have been the right thing to do but when i told a manager about them towards the begining of their meal i said they were really unhappy and would he please go talk to them and just let them know its not my fault everything was coming out so slow. but he didnt. i guess he was busy with his own stuff cause everyone was crazy in there. oh well. hes new. what are ya gonna do?

I think protecting the wait staff from abuse and dealing with unhappy customers is one of the manager's most important jobs... I'm feeling very indignant on your behalf!
