Something I was thinking about on the way back home tonight : What are the 5 most annoying/vomit-inducing popular songs you can think of?

Here's my list! )

Anything by those Tatu girls! Those eleventeen year olds can't sing! Who in the world actually thought they had talent?? Also, Britney's first song, Hit Me Baby One More Time. Yes, yes I will hit her. Until she stops breathing!

Also, the never-ceasing theme from Titanic, as rendered by Super Sensai Celine Dion, Diva Extraordinaire. Scary.

15 year olds *shrugs* technically that is how old those Tatu girls are.

Thanks for the info, but I, quite honestly and frankly, don't care.

Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Maybe your boss enjoyed it too, by proxy? XD

Sorry it took me THIS long to finally respond, but here's MY list... (and I agree with you on the Aerosmith song btw. Hate it too.)

1. Kelis - "Milkshake": this song is wrong on SO MANY levels. And, can you even call that a melody??
2. Jim Lowe - "Green Door": I found this sound really...annoying when I was a kid. And on top of that...zhoxy that evil brother loved to punch out the melody on the piano just to annoy me. XD
3. Lifehouse - "Me, You, and the People": this was the song that I said had that really dumb line in it that goes "And there's you, and me, and all of the people". And, I hate the way they sing it. The melody is so...repetitive.
4. Sting & Police - "Every breath you take": the stalker song. Yeah. I think I've mentioned this before. ^^;
5. Hank Williams - "Jumbalaya": Everyone has heard this song. I forgot to mention, it's on par with that "Day-oh" song (forgot the name, you know...the one that has the monkey tally man).

YES. That Lifehouse song. That line is probably one of the most redundant lines I've ever heard in a song.

And that Banana Boat Song (#5) apparently has a very kinky meaning, judging from the quick search I did for the lyrics just now -- but I'll tell you about that later. XD
