I never liked art books that supposedly instructed you on how to draw. Many of them would proceed to demonstrate in four to five steps how to draw a good picture--and yet, even though it seemed simple, in practice it sure wasn't simple at all. Maybe I'm just prejudiced, but I find it upsetting how it seems like a lot of people view America simply as a means to making money.
