i came into the philosophy office today to a very interesting comment. professor george barker walks in and exclaims, "gee, i really should get some food... i've been going on straight cocaine all day." this is especially amusing coming from the mouth of a 70 year old religious studies professor. he later corrected himself to say caffeine. kids ( Read more... )

I would say The Life Aquatic Soundtrack......but you already have that. My fave right now is the Brazilian Girls self titled album.

Try Citizen Cope's CD, "The Clarence Greenwood Recordings." I absolutely loved it. When I get more money, I will buy more of his stuff, but I just don't have it right now.

I let Joyaux listen to my copy and not only have I not gotten it back, I know its just sitting there because he said he didn't care for the guy's voice. So if Joyaux doesn't like it, maybe that is more motivation for you TO like it. I don't know, just a thought...

yeah, katie yee got me to start listening to him when i went to NYC for spring break. apparently he's big in the northeast but has never heard of the midwest (he doesn't tour here, EVER). joyaux said the same thing when i first told him to listen to the kings of leon. now he likes them... rolling stone and spin gave them a good review on their second album. bonks!

Citizen Cope has been getting airplay down here in the Southeast for quite some time. At least long before he was heard on car commercials, that is.
